Teen MAJ Band - grades 8-13

​The MAJ (Music And Jesus) Band is a one-time group of teen musicians completed grades 8-13, along with adult mentors, that accompany the MAJ performers in a one-time 45-minute musical show, featuring 8-10 upbeat contemporary Christian songs.  Band members will learn and rehearse song selections during the Teen MAJ 4-day weekend rehearsal that ends with a performance for family and friends!  As band members, you’ll get to play in an upbeat and creative environment, sharpen your skills and musicianship, participate in faith-building fun activities and meet new friends!

​Play in a one-time Teen MAJ Band to accompany the Teen MAJ performers in a one-time musical show for Teen MAJ.  Band members will learn and rehearse about 8 song selections during the MAJ 4-day weekend rehearsal that ends with a performance for family and friends.

*Teen MAJ is an overnight retreat, so once you arrive on Thursday, you stay until it concludes on Sunday.  There is some flexibility with this schedule if needed (contact Amy).

Saturday, July 15, 2023 (7:30 p.m. dress rehearsal)
Sunday, July 16, 2023 (9:00 a.m. sing in church; 11:00 a.m. show; potluck to follow)

Cost for band members for Teen MAJ:
   Early Bird Rate: $55/participant - due April 1
   Regular Rate: $70/participant - due June 1

Registration fee includes t-shirt, all meals, snacks and program supplies.

​Recruiting Discount for past participants: $10 off your registration fee (early bird or regular rate) if you bring a friend to MAJ! (Friend must be a new MAJ participant.)  (Discount applies to one person per recruit, not an entire family.)

MAJ is an all-volunteer-run program, so adult volunteers are needed to help make MAJ a success!  Please volunteer to help during MAJ weekend or behind the scenes beforehand!  To indicate your availability, please complete the Volunteer Form (available online) and/or contact Amy Sauer.  Thank you!
